Webinar Recap and The Power of Enthusiasm

I can’t believe it’s already been over a week since our interview with Kristy Grant-Hart! It was a pleasure to work with her and she shared some awesome tips. We received some very positive feedback from our audience, as well, particularly about her enthusiasm and attitude.

These qualities have no doubt been beneficial in her professional compliance career. Being personable, outgoing and human are all keys to becoming “wildly effective” in your compliance role. In fact, it was one of Kristy’s top tips!

Kristy has tapped into something that really rings true for many compliance professionals; in order to be effective, you need to know more than just substantive rules and regulations. There are a myriad of other skills and tools you can learn to become a “compliance hero.”

Try it for yourself! The next time a meeting ends or you have a few minutes in your day, why not reach out to a co-worker or colleague and get to know them a little bit? Share something about yourself as well. This may seem like a small gesture, but it can really help forge relationships and connections with others. People will be more likely to seek you out for help if they feel you’re approachable, and they may be more open to your feedback as well. Be bold, be brave, and give it a try!
